• Notes: The Blue Mountains are a fictitious set of mountains in the state of Washington, running north and south to the east of the Columbia River. Historically, the Blue Mountains were the site of silver mining, thus leading to the creation of St. Claire. As time went on, silver mining declined in importance, and most of the mines closed. Now, a large portion of the mountains to the south is owned by the federal government in Wolf Woods National Park.
