In this rite, the Garou celebrate Winter's dark time of life-in-death. It is believed that if this rite is not performed yearly, on the winter solstice, the nights will continue to lengthen until Gaia has fallen into a terrible twilight state of perpetual pain. The rite is generally an encouragement of Gaia's birthing of the newborn sun, and can take many forms.
